Licences and registers: how a number is checked and what it really certifies

A licence number at the bottom of the page is static text. It becomes information only when it is found again in a register, and the register says three things: which company, which number, which status on that day.

This page explains where to look, what to read and why the same number appears on different brands. The data come from the registers consulted on 26 August 2026 and from the operators' texts read on the same date.

How many numbers really exist behind one hundred brands

The licence number is published by 68 brands out of 100. The distinct numbers are 53.

Who reads these registers, and by what method, is written in about us.

Fifteen brands, therefore, share a registration with someone else. In terms of coverage the disproportion is more marked than that: nine numbers alone cover 24 brands.

The reason is not an irregularity. A company is registered and the domains that company operates are authorised; the brand is a trade name, not a legal entity. Anyone comparing «five different casinos» may in fact have a single counterparty in front of them.

Behind ALSI-202508056-FI2, in the public register of Anjouan, appears the company Novatrix SRL, issued on 25 August 2025 and expiring on 24 August 2027. Behind ALSI-202508047-FI2 appears Sorta Group Limitada, which covers Fairspin and Weiss.

The sharing has an effect that can be seen elsewhere as well. Bitcasino.io and Livecasino.io sit on the same Curaçao number and have the same verification clause 6.6 with the same threshold of 2500 €: the identity of the registration and the identity of the contractual text are the same fact seen from two sides.

What happens when a registration is revoked

Five brands publish a number that appears in the register as revoked: BC.Game, Bets.io, Betriot, Casinoly and Zet Casino.

Betriot, Casinoly and Zet Casino sit on a single number, OGL/2023/103/0067. The revocation concerned one registration and hit three brands together.

None of the five has removed the number from its own site. It is the normal behaviour: the string at the bottom of the page is updated by the operator, the entry in the register is updated by the body. Only the second changes by itself.

That is why the date of consultation counts as much as the number. A list of licences without the date on which it was checked is a photograph with no indication of the year.

The two consultable registers and what each one shows

The certificate portal of Curaçao

The portal of the Curaçao Gaming Authority at the address cert.cga.cw is indexed by operator domain: you start from the address of the site, not from the name of the company. It is the only source in Curaçao that allows this route.

The certificate shows the domain, the company that operates it, the registration number of the company, the licence number, the date of issue and the status. An example read on 26 August 2026: the certificate of 7bitcasino.com indicates Scores55 Tech B.V., company number 162990, licence OGL/2024/1307/0748 granted on 16 July 2024, status active.

The same body also publishes a PDF list that in some places does not match the portal. In the event of a discrepancy the certificate portal is followed here, because it is the only one that ties a number to a precise domain.

The public register of Anjouan

The register of the Anjouan Gaming Board shows number, company, status and — unlike Curaçao — both the date of issue and the date of expiry.

Of the one hundred brands in the library, 39 were found in this register. All 39 appeared with valid status on the day of consultation. But the expiry dates are spread over time: 20 of those licences expire in 2026 and 19 in 2027.

An Anjouan licence is sometimes issued for one year, sometimes for two. «Valid» is therefore a statement about one day, not a permanent quality of the brand.

What a licence number does not prove

It does not prove that a withdrawal will be carried out. It does not set a cap or a processing time: those figures, where they exist, sit in the contractual terms and a minority publish them — the comparison is on the page withdrawals and limits.

It does not say whether and when documents will be requested. That too sits in the terms, and it is discretionary in all 49 clauses read: the detail is on the page identity verification.

It says nothing about the operator’s position with respect to Italian regulations. A licence from Curaçao or Anjouan is the authorisation of that body, not an Italian concession and not an equivalent of one. None of the one hundred brands in the library declares an ADM concession; the Italian regulatory framework is described on the main page. How to check a number in four steps

• Transcribe the number exactly as it appears, with slashes and hyphens: the formats OGL/year/xxx/xxxx and ALSI-xxxxxxxxx-FIx are not interchangeable.
• Open the register of the right body: cert.cga.cw for the Curaçao numbers, the public register of the Anjouan Gaming Board for the ALSI numbers.
• Compare the company indicated in the certificate with the one named in the operator’s terms. A difference is not in itself an irregularity, but it is a question to ask beforehand and not afterwards.
• Note the date of the consultation, and for Anjouan the expiry date as well. Without those two dates the result cannot be verified by anyone else.

Absence from the register does not amount to «without a licence»: it means that under that domain, in that register, nothing was found. The domain may not have been entered, it may appear with a different spelling, or the licence may come from another body. Thirty-two brands out of one hundred publish no number at all. In that case too the empty field means «missing information», and it is not presented here as a merit nor as a proven fault.
